Windows 7 Thoughts and Point of View

Post by Ralph on 25th October 2009, 5:24 pm

Well I remember when I first heard of windows 7. I didn't believe all the hype. A windows that works fast and does what its supposed to? Yeah right thats what they said about vista... and about xp.... and about 2000 and about... well you get the picture.
After loading up the BETA 1 i was impressed to find no outstanding issues like vista had in its beta stages, infact, i could barely find any. Things just got better up to the RTM, which is one you get when you guy it. Overall I see Windows 7 as an incredible improvement to windows, actually lays windows down as a competitor for mac os again. Because honestly vista couldn't compete with mac os. I would even recommend people say with xp for now if they had a pc. Windows 7 though I recommend updating to it any day (of course i would still take a mac over it).
Overall case and point good job for once Microsoft glad to know you have capable people working in your company. If the initial release was so good I'm scared to see what the SPs will bring and the next windows. Looks like Apples gonna have to bring some incredible changes to OS X soon if they want to stay ahead of the game from Microsoft in the near future.

Well there was this one glitch in the beta that I hated. If you rename a file that is not on your desktop, it will bring up a window asking if I want to do it, but there were no buttons. Sad

To Sodylin, I strongly recommend you upgrade to Windows 7....ESPECIALLY if you run on Windows Vista...

I would if I had the money. Also, Vista has never really given me any of the problems I keep hearing about. >.< I'm not saying 80% of the world is lying heh, I'm just not much of a Vista hater. *shrug*.

Really? Odd. Vista was a load of crap that deserves to go straight to Hell. Then again not even Lucipher himself would use that shit.

Even when I had 2GB of RAM on Vista with SP1, it still sucked. Major slowness. Glad that horse has been shot. Windows 7 is truly fantastic.

Pretty much the main reason...if it froze, you're screw3d! Those were dark days. Now, I don't get BSODs anymore.

I remember dreading the BSOD. If you had one: All save data gone, had to hold down power button(That is how it was back then), chance of it not starting again. I remember my old HP breaking all the time with the BSOD. Curse the horrors of the registry!
